What it is
Pix is Brazil’s instant payment system. The most common variations: the buyer sends an edited receipt for a Pix that never came in; schedules a Pix and cancels it after receiving the product; or someone says they sent a Pix by mistake and asks for it to be returned to a different account. In every case, the money does not exist or goes back to the scammer.
How it works
- We check the receipt you got and your account statement.
- We identify the Pix key and the institutions involved.
- We guide the refund request through the MED (Pix Special Refund Mechanism) with your bank.
- We gather the evidence in a report for the police report and a possible lawsuit.
What we will need from you
- The Pix receipt you received (original file or screenshot)
- Your account statement for the period
- Pix key, name and bank shown in the transaction
- The conversation with the person (if it was on WhatsApp, use the "Export chat" option; on other platforms, screenshots)
- Date, time and amount
- Your bank’s case number, if you have already opened one
- Boletim de ocorrência (police report), if you have already filed one
We never ask for passwords, verification codes or access to your accounts.
