What it is
You get a text, email or message saying a package is being held or that a fee, shipping charge or tax is still due. The link leads to a page that imitates Correios (the Brazilian postal service) or a courier and charges an amount by Pix or card. Often the page also stores your card details for future purchases.
How it works
- We analyze the message, the link and the fake page.
- We trace the domain, the hosting and the account that received the payment.
- We guide you in contacting your bank or card issuer.
- We put everything together in a report for the police report and the refund request.
What we will need from you
- Screenshot of the message, with the sender’s number or email
- The link you received, copied as text (do not open it again)
- Screenshots of the page where you paid
- Pix receipt or card statement showing the charge
- Date and time of the payment
- Boletim de ocorrência (police report), if you have already filed one
We never ask for passwords, verification codes or access to your accounts.
