What it is
This includes the “new number” scam (someone pretends to be a relative and asks for money), cloned accounts, threatening or extortion messages and groups used to run scams. We work from the conversations and the numbers involved to preserve the evidence and try to identify those responsible.
How it works
- We preserve the conversations in an organized, dated way.
- We analyze the numbers, profile photos and payment accounts.
- We cross-check the information with other open sources.
- We deliver a report for the boletim de ocorrência (police report) and the lawsuit.
What we will need from you
- The chat exported by WhatsApp itself (the "Export chat" option)
- Screenshots of the messages with the number visible
- The phone numbers involved
- Receipts for any payments made
- Approximate dates and times
- Boletim de ocorrência (police report), if you have already filed one
We never ask for passwords, verification codes or access to your accounts.
