Case 05 · Investigation and location

Fake website investigation

Fake stores, pages that imitate banks and companies, and fake payment links.

What it is

Websites and online stores created only to deceive: they sell products that never arrive, imitate the pages of well-known banks and companies to steal data, or generate fake payment links. Behind every site there are records that leave a trail: the domain, the hosting, the payment method and the profiles linked to it. We investigate who is behind it and organize the evidence.

How it works

  1. We capture the site, its pages and ads before they go offline.
  2. We analyze the domain, hosting, certificates and similar sites linked to it.
  3. We trace the payment accounts and the profiles used to promote the site, using lawful sources.
  4. We deliver a technical report with the evidence organized for the boletim de ocorrência (police report) and legal action.

What we will need from you

  • Address (link) of the site or page, even if it is already offline
  • Screenshots of the pages, the product and the shopping cart
  • Payment receipts (Pix, boleto, card)
  • Confirmation emails, messages or texts you received
  • Where you found the site (ad, social media, search engine)
  • Boletim de ocorrência (police report), if you have already filed one

We never ask for passwords, verification codes or access to your accounts.
